The MAL has launched a study entitled “EMG modules as a novel biomarker of basal ganglia plasticity in Parkinson’s disease”. The study funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation aims to identify specific characteristics of muscle activity that could be linked to changes within the brain that are associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Lynn Deming

Lynn Deming is a physical therapist in our lab. She received her B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1986, and her M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Vermont in 1993. In addition to serving as a physical therapist in the Motion Analysis Laboratory at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston, MA, she is also the physical therapist/coordinator in the outpatient brace clinic at SRH. Her areas of interest are pediatric and adult gait and bracing.
